The first ever advertising design exhibition in the Maldives, named Vividaura, featuring cutting-edge design by students of Maldives Business School was held from 26th October 2013 at the National Art Gallery.
It was organized by the second year students studying for the Associate Degree in Professional Multimedia and Advertising. The Vividaura Exhibition marks the culmination of their studies and showcased their works such in areas such as visual communication, typography, advertising photography, product marketing, corporate identity, 2D and 3D time-based applications, video production and advertising campaigns. The students took a thematic approach, calling the exhibition “a reverie of hues.”
The exhibition was an occasion for the students to display a selection of their works over the past 2 years to both businesses and the public alike. Images of the works were printed and displayed on boards. Memorabilia displayed vivid color themes of the exhibition concept. Interactive materials were available and coffee was served. The exhibition was very popular and was visited by many well-known local design artists.
The students worked under the able guidance of their teacher Associate Professor Mauroof Ibrahim. Many of the works the students displayed were also created under the guidance of their former teacher Associate Professor Nasreen Ibrahim.
