Students Learn Outdoor Advertising & Promoting
On 29th August 2014, Friday, the students of Maldives Business School completed an outdoor event as part of their advertising and promotion activities with excitement and enthusiasm after many days of grueling planning. The event focused on using advertising, promotion and marketing communications effectively by putting advertising and promotion concepts into practice by planning an integrated promotional strategy for a client, in this case, Maldives Business School.
The effective use of advertising and promotion is a fundamental requirement for any business seeking to succeed in the modern business world. As students’ progress through the unit, they will build up their understanding of advertising and promotion, which they can use to plan an integrated promotional strategy for a business or product.
In this activity students explored promotional techniques in the service industry. The activity was conducted in three groups. The promotional activities included creating awareness of the event on using television and social media such as Facebook.
At the event, the groups promoted their client at the Artificial Beach, Usfasgandu, and near the Hulhumale Ferry terminal using targeted announcements, brochures and flyers.
The event was executed meticulously. It drew wide support from the public and was witnessed by school’s faculty. The school wishes to thank all the participants for their diligent effort. Happy learning!
